Playbook Dashboards offer a great overview of financial and clinical information relating to your practice. Many of these dashboards can be reproduced in Reports. Doing so may allow you to explore the data further, and to your more precise criteria.

Note - Dashboards are updated periodically throughout the day, where reports are based on real-time data, so the data representations may not match up exactly.

Steps

For a comparable report that corresponds to the ‘Dentist Vs. Hygienist Production (Monthly) w/ Hygienist % Of Production’ view on the Dentist and Hygienist Production dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Reports module.
  2. In Financial Reports section, select the ‘Production Summary’ report. A new page will open with report:




  3. Two reports are needed to generate data that will replicate the ‘Dentist vs. hygienist production (monthly) w/ hygienist % of production’ view. One will capture dentist production, and one will be used for hygienist production.
  4. In ‘Report Filters’, apply the following filters:
    1. In the ‘What is the date range?’ filter, select ‘In a date range’ and then choose start and end dates corresponding to the month you wish to analyze.


    2. In the ‘Which provider(s) of service do you want to report on?’ filter select each of the dentists in the list.
    3. In the ‘Which section(s) would you like displayed?’ filter pick ‘Totals’.




  5. Click the ‘Run Report’ button.




  6. Production by dentists for the selected month is available on the bottom of report under ‘Production by provider’ of ‘All Provider’ section.




  7. For the hygienists report, in ‘Report Filters’, apply the same filters as above except change the ‘Which provider(s) of service do you want to report on?’ to a selection of all of the hygienists in the practice.
  8. Click the ‘Run Report’ button.




  9. Production by hygienist for the selected month will be shown available on the bottom of the report under ‘Production by provider’ of ‘All Provider’ section.
  10. To calculate the hygienist percentage of total production, first add the dentist and hygienist productions to get the total production.

    [Total production = ‘Dentist production’ + ‘Hygienist production’]


  11. Now calculate the hygienist percentage of production.

    [Hygienist percentage = (‘Hygienist production’ / ‘Total production’)*100]
